Scrabble rewards strategy as much as vocabulary. Here's how to improve:
Basic Strategies
- Block the path: Prevent your opponent from accessing multiplier squares
- Stack multipliers: Aim for triple word squares if possible
- Keep high values: Q, X, Z are precious in the endgame
High-Value Words
- QI (11 points): The shortest high-value word
- ZOO (12 points): Very easy to place
- QUARTZ (19 points): Long and lucrative word
Using Extensions
Place your words on existing ones to create multiple words simultaneously (validating a higher score).
Hand Management
- Keep 2-3 vowels at all times
- Exchange blocking letters (multiple rare consonants)
- Balance your hand each turn
